As two people's needs are never exactly alike, you can custom tailor a collocation service to suit every one of your needs.

Rack Space Charges

Our server co-location facilities are located at 151 Front Street West in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The room is secured, air conditioned, and has battery backup 110VAC and 48VDC for 12 hours.

Standard pricing is based upon 8" - 9" of rack space. Rack mount equipment is preferred and as such, we may surcharge for non-rackmount collocations. Volume discounts may be negotiated.

There is a $500 set-up fee per installation, which may be waived or reduced depending on the nature of the installation. (ie. additional servers being installed can be charged at a lower rate.)

Each co-location customer is entitled to 2 scheduled, escorted visits of 1 hour or less duration. These visits must be scheduled at least 1 full business day in advance. Additional scheduled visits will be billed at $35/hour, 2 hour minimum. Emergency/unscheduled visits will be billed at $75/hour, 2 hour minimum. Systems administration retainer contracts can be negotiated separately.

We reserve the right to reject the installation of any equipment we deem inappropriate for collocation at our premises.

Bandwidth Charges

Access via synchronous port can be negotiated at a fixed rate for a fixed access speed. ISDN and async access ports do not incur bandwidth charges. Normally we charge only for the bandwidth used. Our calculation for burstable connections is as follows: Samples are taken on your port approximately once a minute. Each month the incoming and outgoing samples are sorted in ascending order. The 95th percentile entry in each list is examined. The higher of the incoming or outgoing figures is your monthly Burst rate.

Port Access Charges

We have a 10Mbit direct ethernet connection to UUNET Canada. We plan to be multi-homed with another backbone provider in the near future. In order to access our bandwidth, we must dedicate a port to you. The following charges are monthly, per port. 151 Front Street, sync port (64K -> 2.0Mbit) $200/month $500/setup 151 Front Street, ethernet port (10.0Mbit) $200/month $500/setup

Payment Terms And Conditions

Setup fees should be paid before any service is initiated.

Monthly charges will be assessed on the first of each month for the previous months usage.

Payment is due by the first of the next month (roughly net 30 days).Prorated invoices issued after the first of the month are net 30 days.

If payment is not received by the first of the following month, we reserve the right to unceremoniously disconnect your equipment from either our network, or power source, or both.

First months usage will be prorated if necessary. Bandwidth charges will be prorated using the first 30 days of service.

We require a deposit equal to that of your monthly fees, including estimated monthly bandwidth charges.

We reserve the right to require a credit check before initiating services.

Termination of Service

If, for whatever reason, we decide to terminate this agreement, we will provide notice of at least 30 days of our intentions.

You will provide at least 30 days notice of your intent to terminate this agreement.

Discount and Rate Changes

We reserve the right to adjust our rates on 30 days (or more) notice. Rate increases will take effect 30 days (or more) from the date of notice, and if necessary, invoices will be prorated to reflect the change.

We reserve the right to discount our rates, if we should choose to do so.

Insurance

As we are not responsible for loss/theft/damage to your equipment, it is your responsibility to acquire appropriate insurance coverage for your equipment.

Downtime

Power downtime We will provide 24 hours (or more) notice of any scheduled power outages. (There is an annual power audit on the entire 151 Front Street building where the entire building is taken off the power grid for 8 hours. Normally the batteries are sufficient to survive this, but we are onsite when this happens in case equipment needs to be shutdown before the batteries die.)

Local Network downtime We will provide 24 hours (or more) notice of any scheduled network outages which are more than 10 minutes in length. From time to time we may need to adjust our equipment (adding line cards or upgrading software) which may take the network down for the duration of a system reboot. We will endeavor to provide 24 hours (or more) notice for these events, but cannot guarantee the notice for router reboots, etc.

Internet Network downtime We only have direct control of our own network. We will endeavour to maintain the connection(s) to the Internet. We will pass on any notice of scheduled network downtime as sent to us by our upstream provider(s).

Compensation for downtime By default, we will not provide any compensation for power/network outages, scheduled or not. If you wish to be compensated for downtime, a separate rider needs to be negotiated and attached to the contract.
