How do I cancel my
account?
The Higher Technology hates to lose any subscriber, but we know
that your needs may change and you may wish to terminate your
subscription with our service. We normally require written authorization
from the subscriber to cancel the account. For security reasons
a telephone conversation or verbal instructions are not adequate
to do so. All cancellations must take place on the billing date
of the account, if the account is not cancelled at least five
(5) days before the monthly day the cancellation will not take
place until the next billing month, whereby you will be billed
for one more month service. We require that you fill out a small
form to cancel the account. This form not only protects us, but
it protects you.
Cancellation Form
If you do not wish to use the online form available, you may write
us a letter instead. We will need enough information to fully identify
the account and to insure that the reuqest is legitimate. The letter
should request cancellation of the account, state the full name
of the account, the postal mailing address of the account, your
login ID, your telephone number, and your mothers maiden name (to
insure this is a valid request).
If you have an outstanding balance for usage, overdue charges or
other fees incurred during the month these will be billed to your
credit card (or invoiced if you have elected that option). If you
would like confirmation that your account has been terminated, please
state how you would like to receive the confirmation notice. It's
also helpful for us, if you would state a reason for the cancellation,
we follow up many cancellations with a telephone call for quality
assurance purposes and your reason would help determine if a Q/A
call is useful. If your reason for cancelling your account is because
we haven't met your expectations, please let us know.
